Deaconess Outreach Services combines state-of-the-art technology and Christian compassion to provide mobile services to nursing homes, long-term care facilities, retirement centers, physicians’ offices and homebound patients referred by Home Health and Hospice clients. Our services, consisting of mobile radiology and laboratory , can cut turn-around times drastically by performing our services at the patient’s convenience in their home or your facility.
All of our services are offered at bedside, meaning that we bring the equipment and resources to your patients, alleviating the need to travel to the physician’s office or hospital for treatment. With over ten years of experience and continuous education, combined with the hospital’s 100 years of service to the community, Deaconess Outreach Services continues to grow and build, expanding services and service areas. The following services are offered in detail below:
Radiology
- 24 hour/ 7 day coverage
- X-rays processed on-site
- Same day results reporting via fax with hard copy delivered within 72 hours
- EKGs with tracings left on-site and readings by Deaconess’ board certified cardiologist
Laboratory
- Full menu of tests
- Esoteric testing through nationally recognized, certified laboratories
- Blood draws performed by trained/certified phlebotomists
- Lab testing performed at Deaconess Hospital laboratory, 24 hours/ 7 days a week by registered medical technologists
- Prompt reporting of laboratory results to the facility/physician’s office via printer or fax machine
- Review of all panic values and consultation as requested by Deaconess’ board certified pathologists
- Epidemiology reports
- In-service education opportunities for facility staff
- Draw stations for three national laboratories - DLO, LabOne and LabCorp
