The Rehabilitation Center

The Rehabilitation Center at Deaconess operates within a management contract with Rehab Care, Inc., the market leader in operating inpatient rehabilitation units in acute care hospitals. Referrals for admission to the Rehabilitation Center at Deaconess may be made by physicians, case managers, social workers, family members or therapists. A free pre-admission screening will be conducted prior to admission by rehabilitation professional. The medical director, Louis H. Cox MD, approves all admissions. Children under the age of 18 years of age may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Criteria for admission will be applied equally to all who are referred for services regardless of funding source.
