Pastoral Care

Deaconess Hospital chaplains provide spiritual care, counseling and support for patients and families of all denominations. We serve as resources in the crisis of hospitalization by helping families and patients find the strength to deal with fears, worries, doubts and questions that may arise in the face of illness.

Smoking Restriction

Because of our concern for your health and commitment to providing quality healthcare, Deaconess is a smoke-free facility and campus. Smoking is restricted throughout the Deaconess campus, including all buildings and hospital grounds. There is a designated smoking shelter on the west side of the hospital.

Social Services

Social Services at Deaconess are provided to ensure continuity of care after discharge and to facilitate adjustment of patients and their families to the impact of illness, disability, or death.

Volunteer Auxiliary

More than 200 individuals volunteer their time to serve patients, families and the hospital staff. Many of the services we offer would be impossible without the contribution of this hardworking group.
